LIVING לפניך

LEFONECHO

cognizant of Your presence

this is our calling

our essence

Always before You

constantly aware

wherever one turns

You are surely there

Hashem, we are so lucky

to have You around

no matter what is going on

there, You can be found

Never alone

no need for concern

You are always there

when I learn or earn

Having You in focus

is of utmost importance

it gives so much value

to our Mitzvah performance

Knowing You are everywhere
gives us confidence

whatever happens is

providence not coincidence

Ritual performance alone

without connection is lacking
bonding spiritually with Hashem
is the glue, our strongest backing

For so long the true meaning

of the word לפניך was hidden

although all over Torah & Tefillah
it is recited and written

Now by knowing its meaning

our mission is clear

to focus more on Hashem

and serve Him sincere

Lefonecho is

the most powerful filter

preventing our minds

from going out of kilter

Lefonecho helps us overpower

negative influences from outside

only allows Toras Hashem

to be our Eternal guide

Don't try to hide

or go under cover

it's no use

Hashem is all over

Know,

before whom You stand
acknowledge that Hashem

is the only one in command

Only to Him

is our loyalty

take full notice

children of royalty

Can't mess up

face-to-face

instead His presence

let's embrace

Let's please Him

with our actions

not violating His will

with an infraction

To commit a sin

is a grievous error

in the spiritual world

it creates a tremor

Hashem is right there

we are face-to-face

to sin before Him

is a shame, a disgrace

Instead, Hashem embrace

in order to save face

The cause must be retraced

for the sin to be erased

If Hashem’s presence

was shamed

only we are

to be blamed

Had לפניך been

in our conscience

we would have been

more cautious

Lefonecho helps us stop

makes us think, before we do

to be more mindful

well before we pursue

Is this a justified cause

do I need to pause

I ask myself, is this Hashem’s will
or do I just care about the thrill

That would be arrogant

on our part

why not get off

to a good start

To only do

what Hashem wants

to differentiate

the do's from the dont's

Hashem is whom

we need to please

for He is the only power

that really sees
